On the internet, I found a hike near Page that looked easy, interesting and lesser-known. It's
called the Toadstool Trail because of the mushroom-like hoodoo formations that erosion has
created here in the Paria Rimrocks, part of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
Most of this area is extremely remote and inaccessible to mere mortals (as opposed to
super-hikers), but this particular spot is only a mile or so off the highway.
It was truly a magical and eerie place, even more fascinating than Bryce Canyon. Here are
way too many photos, just because I couldn't pare them down any further.
