There's a lot to see in Vancouver, and we only saw a little of it.  With limited time for sightseeing, we really appreciated the wonderful public transportation system which allowed us to quickly visit a few of the local attractions.  We rode downtown buses and also the SeaBus, a ferry which connects the downtown peninsula to North Vancouver, sharing our transportation with skiers and snowboarders on their way to Grouse Mountain ski area just an hour from downtown.  We got a bird's-eye view from The Lookout, rocked and rolled on the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and were soothed by the serenity of the Sun Yat-Sen Oriental Gardens.

Livingstone Park is a pleasant oasis in the city, not far from the skating at General Motors Place. Bright yellow sulfur waits in the harbor for shipment.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge has spanned the Capilano River since 1889.  This fourth version is a bit sturdier than the original plank-and-rope bridge.

Riding the SeaBus affords us a spectacular view of the Vancouver skyline, even if the weather is a bit gray.
